Lake Wedding Inspiration

This weekend I spent some much needed time on the Lake! My husband and I were cruising on the boat and passed a house that was set up for a wedding. The back yard was lined with white chairs all facing the lake with a beautiful sunset as the background. That night as my husband and I enjoyed the sunset, I kept thinking about what a great background that small, intimate wedding was going to have! So, I decided to create a lake wedding inspiration board! Enjoy!

Travel Tips

I just returned from a great trip to Park City, Utah. Vacations are always great, but there are a few things to remember before you embark on the journey. Wedding season is fast approaching which means honeymoons are also approaching. Below are a few tips to help make your travels easy!

  • Earlier the Better: Be sure to book your honeymoon early! Book at least six months in advance. Earlier honeymoon planning gives you better options for flight and resort selection.
  • Passports: If you are traveling out of the country, don't forget your passport. Go to Travel.state.gov.
  • Stay HealthyIf you are traveling overseas for your honeymoon vacation, make sure you are up to date on any vaccinations you might need. Also check with your health insurance carrier to ensure that you'll be covered should you need it while you're gone.
  • Packing: When packing, there are a lot of things to think about:
    • make sure you know the weight limit for your airline so you do not have to pay extra for overweight bags
    • pack any liquids in zip lock bags just incase something leaks, it wont get on your clothes.
    • keep any medication and important papers in your carry-on bag. Also pack a fresh set of clothes to stay fresh on long flights.
  • Travel Packet: It's always a good idea to keep someone back home in the loop. E-mail them a copy of your itinerary and the contact information of each hotel; a list of credit-card numbers to expedite their replacement if lost; and, if you're traveling abroad, a photocopy of your passport's photo pages.
  • Copies: Make 3 copies of every document: passport, credit cards, ids, ect. Give one copy to relative, keep one in safe in hotel, and keep original with you.

See my Travel Check List below to make sure you don't forget anything! Safe Travels!
