The Zoo!!

Last night I attended an event at the Birmingham Zoo. I am such a little kid when it comes to animals. I had a blast!! We got to have a private tour of the lions, hogs, elephants, and giraffes! We even got to feed the giraffes! While we were there, of course I asked about events at the zoo! They can host up to 500 people. They have had weddings, social parties, and small private parties! Get Married in a Cave!

A couple of weekends ago my husband took me to Cathedral Caverns State Park in Woodville, AL. We went on a tour of the cave, which was amazing! At the deepest point in the cave, we were the length of a football field under the ground-- how cool! The cave was gorgeous and by the end of the tour I was thinking how cool it would be to get married in the cave (weddings are always on the brain!)! So I asked if they had ever had someone get married in the cave. Guess What?? They had!! They showed me the area where the ceremony would take place and then of course my imagination started going crazy. Cocktail Hour in the mouth of the cave. Reception at the cabin outside the cave. Dance floor and DJ in mouth of the cave. How Cool would that be!! Lake Guntersville State Park-- Great Venue

A couple of weeks ago I was at Lake Guntersville State Park for a fishing tournament. We stayed at the State park lodge and to my surprise it was a very popular wedding venue! They had a wedding Friday and Saturday night and they were both Beautiful!! I asked for more information on having events and found out it is extremely reasonable. There are many different options for ceremony and reception spaces and the views are extraordinary!
